Azurite

Azurite Jewelry

Azurite, like Turquoise, is found along with copper deposits in the Earth. This mineral is related to Malachite and occurs with it. Azurite was prized by Egyptians for jewelry and makeup. During the Middle Ages and Renaissance it was the most important pigment in European painting. In Czarist Russia Malachite was used to construct the columns of St. Isaac's Cathedral in Leningrad.

Azurite/Malachite deposits are found around the world. We choose to feature Banded Gem Bisbee Azurite and Morenci Azurite/Chatoyant Malachite material in our collection. These are the two sources of the finest jewelry grade stones in the world.

We do not have much Azurite inventory at this time. Please see Gallery Section for ideas on custom pieces we can create for you.
