Turquoise

Turquoise is a beautiful stone that ranges in color from apple green to sky blue. It is found with Copper Deposits in the Earth. Turquoise was prized by China and Egypt as a jewel 5000 years ago! Originally introduced to Europe by Turkey - its name translates as "Turkish Stone." This stone has been found in China, Iran, Afghanistan, Israel, Tanzania and the American Southwest.

We choose to use stones from the southwest - seeking out natural (un-treated), High-Grade pieces that we source or cut ourselves. Our current collection features High Grade Morenci Turquoise and High Grade Bisbee Turquoise from Arizona - both areas produced exceptional and rare deposits of Gem Grade turquoise. There is no mining of new material at this time.
